| KNOCKOUT PRINT COMPETITION
- 9th February 2010
All members are asked to bring along as many
prints as they wish to enter for the competition. There are no
restrictions on size, subject matter, age of the print or whether
in black and white or colour. It does not matter if they have
been shown before, so ex-competition or exhibition prints will
be welcome - the more the merrier.
A charge of ten pence is to be paid for each
print entered with all entry money going to the winner.
All members present on the night, whether
they have entered prints or not, will be given a number. If your
number is drawn, you will be asked to choose which of the two
prints displayed and drawn against your number you prefer. Your
choice will go through to the next round and the other print will
be eliminated . . .and so on until we have a winner. In the event
of an odd number of prints being entered, the remaining print
will go through to the next round as a bye.
The success of the evening will rest firmly
with the members present and with the number of entries received
and therefore everyone is encouraged to participate and bring
along as many prints as they can.
Two members of the committee, who will
not enter the competition and therefore be completely unbiased,
will run the evening and their decision on any matters arising
will be final.
